The Vietnam War
The Vietnamese war is a dark time is Americas history, it wasn't any less violent than other wars, but it was largely publicized and disliked by the US population.
- Vietnam was divided into North and South
- South Vietnam was lead by a Catholic named Ngo Dinh Diem
- The South had opposition in the form of National Liberation Front
- The North was lead by Ho Chi Minh and supported the South Opposition
- The US saw this as another instance of containment
